As a New Business Development Manager for World Archipelago Solutions, your primary objective will be to promote and sell our branded solutions. As well as expanding our hold in sectors we are familiar with, you will identify and open up new market sectors, selling in our products.
 
You will enjoy the pace and tenacity required for the proactive nature of the role and will be comfortable and thrive on delivering proactive initiatives such as prospecting, campaigns and cold calling.
 
Equally you must also be able to talk naturally and confidentially about the company and have a track record of discussing technical solutions without the need of technical and creative experts.
 
You will need to have an established track record of developing new business relationships and have excellent client relationship skills. Experience of working in creative digital services would be an advantage, and a passion for digital interactive media is a must.
 
A creative mind would put you ahead of the game, as would some marketing background experience. Ideally you would also have experience of working in one of the following sectors: TV, Leisure, Newspapers, FMCG, Magazines or Property.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • To set up and deliver a constant flow of proactive new business opportunities.
  • Set up and manage the new business development program for WAS.
  • Identify potential target companies.
  • Profiling and prioritising.
  • Making direct approaches.
  • Organising meetings.
  • Planning format and content for meetings.
  • Attending business development meetings.
  • Create and implement proactive new business campaigns.
  • Responsible for the sales database and contact management.
  • Regular reporting and update of sales activity and progress.
  • Manage reactive sales opportunities (qualification and follow through).
Profile:
  • Able to demonstrate good level of experience in business development; in marketing services or digital media industries.
  • Passionate about digital interactive media.
  • Knowledgeable about how web technology is best applied.
  • Contacts and knowledge within the industry.
  • Experience of developing and managing a business development plan.
  • Eager to make initial contacts with clients, including cold calling.
  • Able to communicate and convert senior manager and director level prospects.
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic.
  • Confident and self-motivated.
  • Keen to make a mark, but able to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent word, Excel and PowerPoint skills, specifically PowerPoint for creds and pitch presentations.
  • Experience in TV, Leisure, Newspapers, FMCG, Magazines or Property would be an advantage.
