Overview

The Telegraph asked us to create a new subscription Crossword site that lived up to its high reputation among puzzlers throughout the world, and which was so engaging and entertaining that puzzlers would pay to play. We built a very slick site in Adobe Flex with loads more gaming functionality and player participation than other crossword sites, that appealed to Brains of Britain, your Sunday morning amateurs and new subscribers too.

We made it easy for gamers to use, and easy for Telegraph staff to manage data and gaming content. The Telegraph's puzzle editor publishes 50 new puzzles a week and other games like Sudoku.

The Result

The site has substantially broadened its reach and delivered outstanding return on The Telegraph's investment. Three months after launch, the new site had improved its numbers by 11% to 11,000 subscribers.
