Timeline 'Digital Solution'
Overview
When The New York Daily News took its famous newspaper online, it turned its journalists and editors into web masters by teaching them how to use several of the components we've developed in the WorldArcStudio.
The newspaper's digital team used four of our tools - Video Timeline, Ecard Engine, Poll, and Image Gallery - to publish its online version very quickly and very cost effectively. The tools also integrated with the site's web analytics to give editors precise information about use and popularity of these components with online readers.
Timelines, for instance, were particularly useful during the presidential campaign, and very easy to produce with a simple drag and drop Content Management Tool we provided that required no technical knowledge or training.
The Result
Having these resources in-house meant that the cost of production for these elements dropped to a tenth of the cost of having them produced from scratch by an agency.
