Gene Simmons Timeline
Overview
We built this site for the launch of A&E Television's Family Jewels, the reality series that features legendary Kiss guitarist Gene Simmons, his partner, a former Playboy Playmate, and their two kids. The show was an Osbournes style format that took Kiss fanatics, as well as the uninitiated and curious, into the family mansion in Beverley Hills.
We wanted something that stayed on brand, and consistent not only with the editorial positioning of the series, but also with this hard rock icon's loud, look at me style. So we came came up with an idea, that told the story of Gene's colourful life through an 'up close and personal' timeline that brought in photo albums, home movies, video and audio.
The Result
An immersive experience with a real sense of fun about it that gave this cult figure's adoring fans all the details in an entertaining cross-platform package.
