Overview
The Financial Services Authority's website is a fantastic resource for helping people manage their affairs and generally do their sums when they are about to make important decisions regarding their finances.
One of the products in our portfolio of components is a calculator that can be turned to a variety of purposes. The FSA thought it would make a great family planning tool for young couples contemplating a family and wanting to know what the implications were for their finances. This easy to use and understand calculator had a series of different applications that included among others: Budgeting and Baby; Trust Fund and Savings; Return to Work; Tax Credits and Childcare. Calculations can be saved and retrieved on return visits.
The application is accessible for those with special needs and easily updated every year as financial numbers change. A Welsh version was created in Sep '08.
